Job Type/Schedule: Position works on an as needed basis. Department Name/Job Location: This position is in the Department of Neurology. The position is located at the Center 40 Building. This position is for the Medical School Campus. Essential Functions: POSITION SUMMARY: Senior Technologist works under medical supervision to perform and evaluate overnight polysomnograms.� This individual functions independently of direct supervision, to safely operate sophisticated medical equipment to record sleep/wake physiology.� The Senior Technologist also supervises and coordinates the activities of the other technicians.� The applications of recording devices to the patient, cleaning/sterilization of equipment and monitoring of polysomnograms are further duties of the technologist.� The technologist must recognize sleep pathology when it occurs in the laboratory and respond with the appropriate interventions to ensure patient safety. Applicant Special Instructions: Sleep disorder lab environment with variable day/night schedule. Work with collodion and acetone is necessary. Salary Range: The hiring range for this position is $23.14 - $28.93 per hour.
