Responsibilities and Duties
Under the general supervision of Clinical Field Manager and the Medical Director or the Medical Director’s designee, a Polysomnographic Technologist performs routine polysomnographic procedures and comprehensive polysomnographic procedures for which the technologist has been deemed competent by clinical management. Under the direct supervision of Clinical Management or the Corporate Medical Director, a Polysomnographic Technologist performs comprehensive polysomnographic procedures for which the technician is developing competencies. (A Polysomnographic Technologist may provide supervision and training of Polysomnographic Trainees.) The primary duties for this position involve the collection of data, but the employee must also be able to analyze and score data.
Qualifications and Skills
Maintain current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) for the Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association OR Professional Rescuer from the American Red Cross (Other CPR or BCLS courses are NOT acceptable).
Provide a current, signed, ORIGINAL Basic Cardiac Life Support card to Persante for retention at the corporate office and continually provide new cards as old cards expire.
Attend (or complete electronically when possible) orientations, meetings, training sessions, periodic technician meetings, educational functions and courses as assigned and as required to comply with Persante’s and hospitals’ rules, regulations, guidelines and standards; as well as, applicable laws.
