Sleep Medicine Associates, Inc. a state-of-the-art leader in innovative sleep disorders diagnostic and treatment services, has a limited number of internship opportunities available. Successful applicants will be well organized individuals who exhibit professional behaviors, possess a positive learning attitude and enjoy working with people.
Successful applicants will receive supervised experience in interacting with patients and the use of specialized medical equipment to record and analyze polysomnographic data and will be supported in preparation for the National Board Exam in Polysomnographic Technology.
An understanding of basic anatomy, physiology and basic electrical principles beyond A-STEP or STAR level training will be helpful but not required for selection.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Have successfully completed an A-STEP or STAR introductory training program
Availability for night shift studies and/or daytime clinic experiences as scheduled (apx 36 to 40 hrs per week).
