Summa Health is seeking a board certified, fellowship trained critical care/pulmonary physician for an employed position in Akron, Ohio. The successful candidate will join a team of growing pulmonary/critical care/sleep physicians. Summa Health’s critical care team provides care for two campuses, Akron City Hospital and Barberton Hospital. Akron City Hospital encompasses a 95-bed Critical Care/Intensive Pavilion and is a Level 1 Trauma facility, while Barberton Hospital holds a 22 ICU bed facility.

The selected candidate will become a member of Summa Health Medical Group, a multi-specialty group practice of 350+ physicians. Summa Health System – headquartered in Akron, Ohio – is one of the largest integrated Healthcare Delivery Systems in the state. With 2 hospitals and 20 health centers, Summa provides access to care throughout the region.

Candidate Requirements

• ABIM board certification - Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Fellowship trained in critical care or pulmonary/critical care medicine
• Active involvement in medical student and resident education
