The integrated system has more than 60 primary and specialty care offices throughout North and West Texas, serving a 23-county referral network. OpportunityHighlights:
Joining a well-established and collegial department of 9 pulmonologists and 3 sleep physicians that provide inpatient and consultative services. The pulmonary department runs a 16-bed technology dependent unit which is also connected to a neuro rehabilitation unit.
The accredited CF center cares for close to 200 pediatric patients with the assistance of 2 CF coordinators. The active CF TDN program is supported by 2 research coordinators and a research assistant as well as the backing of a full research administration office.
Open to individuals with general pediatric pulmonology interests only, or, combined with sleep medicine.
The accredited Sleep Center provides inpatient studies and has a 5-bed outpatient unit (expanding to 13-beds). The sleep physicians and pulmonologists are also supported by a behavioral sleep psychologist. Multiple ancillary services are housed within the department which includes respiratory therapists, dietitians, social work, child life, and a clinical therapist.

Candidates must be BE/BC in Pediatrics and BE/BC in Pediatric Pulmonology and eligible to secure an unrestricted Texas Medical License.
Opportunities available, but not required, to teach medical students and residents as well as pursue clinical research with support including campus IRB, grant writing, research nurses, and a dedicated PhD statistician.
Qualified candidates may participate in the fellow’s retention program that will provide a monthly stipend of $2,500 from employment through the start of practice with Cook Children’s.
